There are a lot of things that need to be taken into account when choosing the right material for your house - either Natural stones or even porcelain tile which both are undeniably exquisite, unique and ageless. However, if are still on the fence between this two let's understand the pro cons of each. 

Between these two materials, the natural stone would cost an arm and leg whilst porcelain tiles would be the real bargain if the cost is the priority in the list. As for the installation cost, natural stone will be more expensive as it needs and experiences hands to install it as it can be challenging due to natural irregularities in the surface and required pre-seal when needed. 

In term of maintenance, natural stone required high attention as it easily scratched - granite demands less maintenance than marble, which is a much softer stone. As porcelain tiles are extremely resilient and durable therefore it requires less maintenance. 

Besides, natural stone has high porosity and moisture-sensitive compared to porcelain tiles because of the material’s inherent defects, such as the inclusion of tiny fissures, holes, chips and weak spots which recommend sealing to resist moisture. On the other hand, porcelain tile is virtually impervious to moisture as it hardly has any pores available for moisture to infiltrate. 

Between these two materials, whether natural stone or porcelain tile both has the pro and cons. At the end of the day, it depends on your number of investment, whether to choose the stone crafted by nature or porcelain tile is mimicking natural stone which still absolutely stunning with full of character.
